Artists in the Capitol Day

Louisiana State Capitol

900 North Third Street, Baton Rouge, LA, 70802

Join us in front of the podium at the front steps by 10:45.

After the awards we can picnic on the arsenal grounds!

At 1:00 p.m. a tour of the Capitol has been set up. If you intend to take advantage of this opportunity, please be at the Tour Desk (just inside the Capitol’s front doors) 10 minutes before the tour. Following the tour, the LAEA YAM flag designers will be introduced as a group at the opening session of the Senate which is usually around 2:00 pm.

This is also a wonderful day to meet with your legislator and express to them the importance of art education! To contact and make an appointment with your senator or representative, visit their website, http://www.legis.state.la.us/. Phone numbers and email addresses can be found at this site.
